Operating Model

• Power & Market Interface
  Gnist Battery operates the BESS independently in the market or purchases power through a PPA. We assume balance responsibility where required and manage the battery’s participation across spot, intraday and balancing markets.

• Asset Integration
  We deploy 1–20 MW systems as stand-alone grid assets or integrate 1–20 MW battery systems directly with existing wind, solar or hydro assets to increase flexibility and capture value from volatility.

• Ownership & Financing
  Gnist Battery finances and owns the BESS installation, providing partners with access to battery value without upfront investment. Flexible financial structures such as leasing, co-financing or revenue-sharing are tailored to each project.

• Revenue Sharing
  Producers and partners receive a transparent, performance-based revenue share linked to the battery’s operating results and the hybrid system’s enhanced value.

• Full Asset Management
  Gnist handles grid compliance, regulatory requirements, bids/dispatch, degradation strategy, safety, maintenance contracts and day-to-day market optimisation.
